1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Zoom Customs collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use our website and services. Our studio is located at 161 Rue St-Hubert, H7G 2Y1, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
2. Person responsible for privacy
The person responsible for the protection of your personal information (our Privacy Officer) is:
Jay Patel
Zoom Customs — 161 Rue St-Hubert, H7G 2Y1, Montreal, QC
Email: zoomcustoms2002@gmail.com
Phone: +1 438-807-5804
You can contact this person with any question or request regarding your personal information.
3. What we collect
We only collect the information you choose to give us:
When you request a quote: your name, email address, phone number, your vehicle’s make, model, and year, the service you’re interested in, and any additional details you type into the form.
When you submit a review: your name, email address, star rating, the service and vehicle you’re reviewing, and your review text.
Automatically, for security: when you submit a form, we briefly process your IP address to prevent spam and abuse (rate limiting). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking or analytics tools on this site.
4. Why we use it
We use your personal information only to:
- Respond to your quote request and provide you with an estimate;
- Contact you about your inquiry, appointment, or service;
- Review, moderate, and (with your consent) publish your review;
- Protect our website and services from spam and abuse;
- Comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
5. Consent
By submitting a form on this website, you consent to us collecting and using your personal information for the purposes described above. When you submit a review, you also consent to us publicly displaying your first name, vehicle, rating, and review text on our website. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see “Your rights” below), though this may prevent us from responding to your request.
6. How it's stored and shared
Form submissions are delivered to us by email so we can respond. Our website is hosted by Vercel Inc., and email is delivered through our email provider; these providers process the information solely to operate the service on our behalf and may store it on servers located outside Quebec, including in the United States. We share your information only with these service providers, and only as needed to provide our services, or where required by law.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected — for example, to respond to and follow up on your quote, or to display an approved review — and as required by law. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
8. How we protect it
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including limiting who can access it, using reputable service providers, and applying spam and abuse protections on our forms. If a confidentiality incident (data breach) presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify you and Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information (CAI) as required by law.
9. Your rights
Under Law 25 and PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- Withdraw your consent or ask us to delete your information;
- File a complaint with us or with the CAI.
To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Officer at zoomcustoms2002@gmail.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
10. Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We may use only the strictly necessary technology required for the site to function (for example, remembering your language choice). If we ever introduce analytics or other tracking technologies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.
12. Contact us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your personal information, contact us at zoomcustoms2002@gmail.com or +1 438-807-5804.
